Bidh Lab allowed ‘A’ grade, Childless Couple Infertility testing service also started
The Bidh lab at Kupandol in Lalitpur has got permission for 'A' grade. The National Public Health Laboratory on Wednesday gave the lab permission for an "A" grade laboratory.
While monitoring the Public Health Laboratory, it was found that the criteria have been fulfilled as per the guideline 073 for the establishment and operation of the health laboratory. The Public Health Laboratory has issued permission for the project by last Asad 2078 BS. After receiving the permission, the lab is still committed to provide quality services at affordable prices. According to VK Bhandari, director of the lab, about 2500 types of tests are being done in the lab now.
According to Bhandari, the Bidh Lab, which came into operation after the Covid-19 Corona epidemic, tested the most RT PCRs among labs across the country. The lab will also have all the genetic and molecular tests. Operator Bhandari said that they are preparing to test at a price lower than the current price.
The lab has already expanded its services in Pokhara. The lab has claimed that there has been no problem in quality so far. The lab has also started providing infertility testing services for childless couples, said Ravi Shankar Pokharel, chief executive of the lab.
According to him, a 15 percent discount has been provided to those who come to test for one month. The lab is currently undergoing antibody testing against the corona virus Covid-19, the lab said in a statement.
